I just realize i have way too many Dior Homme Winter wear that i can no longer fit... oh man.. i am officially FAT!

 

Parents are away on vacation and I have the apartment to myself the last couple of days. Left the office early to spend some quality time with my TV and living rom this evening... and it has been a while that i am having the apartment to myself. And this is the part of my China stint that i love and hate at the same time - being alone yet sometimes longing for some company when I get home. 

one of the few remaining good friends in Shanghai - Loy :) If everything goes well, he should be heading home to Singapore soon...

modern contemporary... that is what i am going for..... now, how does a modern contemporary balcony garden looks like? any idea anyone?

over the last weekend, we decided it's about time to get in to the property market and buy some.
so we did. 2 apartments in 1 weekend. it should be in 3 years time that I will move from the west to the east.
bedok reservoir is nice... i can't wait to start jogging there :)

facebook and twitter are banned in China for now.
i feel so disconnected from the world. the office folks are using VPN back home to get their access to facebook.
when will this end?

Tomorrow :) heading back to Singapore tomorrow.
Russell Reynolds was asking me to consider moving back to Beijing to manage a team of 40 for one of the world's biggest IT company.
Will they think I am a himbo if I tell them I am not moving back because i want my facebook? ha!

但由于和前几张的定位反差太大 加上负面消息不断 和这样的定位没法很好的契合
不得不让人觉得他现在到了一个非常尴尬的境地 好在现在滚石就只有他和卓文萱两个比较有市场的艺人
宣传上还算尽心 打歌打的也很凶 但是优势也是劣势 如果这次滑铁卢 则滚石必将再一次大伤元气
纵贯线年初就爆出发行新专辑的消息 结果一直在内地各地巡演 已经让人们对这三个大人物不敢再有期待
继续说回这张专辑 还是曹格式的R&B 这一次明显的风格温暖居家了很多 快慢歌也大致平均
但是首波却打了一首苦情至极的《寂寞先生》据说是曹格低潮期的一首创作 这一次放在专辑开头
想来应该是为了突出爱情和婚姻给他带来的从消极到积极的变化 但我始终觉得他有点“太过”
第一过的是他唱歌时用的挥霍的声音技巧和情绪张力 第二过是他对待同志的态度
当年曹格出道 当然是凭借自己的实力 但同志们的支持让他很轻松的迅速上位 渐渐登顶
金曲奖事件且不论 单是他结婚后爆出的那些新闻 几乎条条都是自己如何疼老婆疼儿子 如何顾家
不免让人觉得这转变也太戏剧性并且太有作秀的成分了 如果你一直喜欢曹格 这张可能会让你感觉平平
不过还是值得一听的 前几天有个朋友还在说 他唱歌虽然一直这个味儿不过还就是挺喜欢

the thing about having a job that requires you to travel is you will always have a book/magazine in your bag.  and here i was yesterday waiting for Clarence to turn up for lunch (yes! he overslept and was 30 minutes late), i was reading the top 100 people in the world and Brad Pitt was called out for his commitment in Humanitarian causes  - especially what he did for the Americans after  Hurricane Katrina. I know a lot of these are PR work, but then this is Mr Fight Club, Joe Black, Mr Smith... and it definitely made me one of his fans now.

nothing cheers me up more than ling ling telling me how bimbo she is at work.. at home... or simply every of her waking moment!!! she is now based in China, Shanghai :)

i turned around saw on the ground my sanitary pad on the floor! i fainted!

last week she asked her beijing boss - "老板今天什么日子，你打tie 了！"
His PA scream ”谁打胎 (abortion)了！


Act 3
During a negotiation with the landlord... where Ling wanted a Plasma TV.
She told the landlord she wants a 精液 (sperm) 电视 !!

at a serious biz dinner where my nanning hotel owner drinks only 5000rmb per bottle red wine..
a UK Interior Designer asked what is my surname Yim in chinese and what does it mean?
I replied "严“ as in very serious!
(they must be wondering no wonder this lady so serious every day, scolding them to buck up, roll up socks and sleeves always)..
then a project manager asked is my weekly basketball still on which he still cant believe i play it..
and owner replied he play only golf..and PM say he doesnt play...
I added in chinese"there is a saying..the older a man get, the smaller the ball!!" i left out the words "the balls they played"
you could imagine all almost fell off their big wine tasting table chairs to floor!
I wanted find a hole under the high wine table !! esp owner asked "are you talking about me??!!"


Act 5
Not her, but one of our dear friend, asking a lady how much is her monthly salary (工资）
请问你 月经 多少“！！（月金）！

and i was blogging about throwing a box of DVDs away yesterday... and tonight, after gym and dinner... i bought 2 DVDs and 1 CD.... i have sinned...

I no longer have enough storage space for my DVDs and CDs... and decided to pack and throw any those that i no longer want to watch...... My TV console in my bedroom is all clean up now... NO MORE DVDS lying around......

I also realize when I like a DVD or CD,.... I have the problem of buying more than 1 of them... 曹格- 格格 Blue is just one of them :)

I stopped reading 8 days after watching this news conference, pure entertainment i tell u!

 

was planning to make a trip to Beijing and Shanghai during the May holidays but given the project that is running now... chances are.. i will be grounded in Singapore :(

 

I always love walking my way through the Citylink underpass towards esplanade as there is this section that showcase different exhibits different time of the year. This time round a photo exhibit.. and I am loving it.

 

In the new ad, Wolverine tells his fans:
